American First Graders Are Starting NSA-Inspired Pentagon-Funded Language Classes

Business Insider
Geoffrey Ingersoll

What a cute and cuddly bunch of spies we're growing right here in America.

The National Security Education Program (NSEP), within the Pentagon budget projection for Fiscal Year 2012, says its mission is to "provide a cadre of highly qualified candidates for employment in the national security community."

Politicians argue that language training should begin at a younger age in order to yield more proficient speakers, and school districts lacking money welcome the infusion of cash, but the specter of government indoctrination looms over curriculum's controlled and devised from within the convoluted American National Security apparatus.
Joe Wolverton III of The New American reports that one of the languages focused on in the program is Portuguese, a disclosure which, at the very least, telegraphs the NSA's intent in South America and Africa.
Other languages include Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu and Farsi. The goal, as stated in official documents, is to provide curriculum in "less commonly taught languages" in order to grow a pool of "qualified language proficient candidates to the federal sector."
But when does "grooming" children cross over into "coercing" them to serve the state?
Wolverton smartly quotes James Madison in his lengthy piece: "If tyranny and oppression come to this land it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy."

All Over America Government Control Freaks Are Forcing Preppers Back On To The Grid

The American Dream

In recent years there have been huge numbers of Americans that have sought to go "off the grid" and live a more independent lifestyle. It has been estimated that there are now approximately 3 million "preppers" in the United States, and many of them just want to be left alone so that they can take care of themselves and their families on their own land. But that is not the way America works anymore. In many areas of the country, government control freaks have essentially declared war on preppers and are attempting to force them back on to the grid.

In some states, "nuisance abatement teams" are conducting armed raids on off the grid properties. Property owners are being cited for "code violations" and are being told that they are "bothering the neighbors". In some cases, trees and gardens are being forcibly removed. In other cases, entire structures are being relocated or torn down. And in the most extreme cases, property owners are actually being forced off of their properties completely by these control freaks. You see, the truth is that in America you don't really own your property. You are essentially renting it, and you can only do with it what the government allows you to do. And the government does not like people disconnecting from the grid and living an independent lifestyle. So these battles over property rights are probably going to get even more intense in the years ahead.

These days, many Americans are choosing to grow "survival gardens" as a way to help feed their families and become more independent of the system.

But in some areas of the country these survival gardens are being forcibly ripped out by government control freaks. Just check out what happened to one unemployed woman in Tulsa, Oklahoma....

A Tulsa woman is suing the city's code enforcement officers after she said they cut down her garden with no cause.
Denise Morrison said she has more than 100 plant varieties in her front and back yards and all of them are edible and have a purpose.
She knows which ones will treat arthritis, which will make your food spicy, which ones keep mosquitoes away and treat bug bites, but she said none of that matter to city inspectors.
Last August, Morrison's front and back yards were filled with flowers in bloom, lemon, stevia, garlic chives, grapes, strawberries, apple mint, spearmint, peppermint, an apple tree, walnut tree, pecan trees and much more.

The government agents left her with nothing. They ripped her garden to shreds. She was relying on that garden for her food and her medicine. Because she is unemployed, she doesn't have any money to go to the store and buy all those things.

Now she is absolutely destitute....

"I came back three days later, sat in my driveway, cried and left," Morrison said.

Oh, but at least the government agents can report that "everything is now up to code".

What is happening to this country?

Corruption leads to $2 billion useless US spy facility: Gordon Duff

The US has constructed an espionage spying facility in Utah that can intercept, monitor and store all electronic communications worldwide including inside the US.

Press TV has interviewed Gordon Duff, Senior Editor of Veterans Today in Ohio about the construction of the most advanced espionage and spying facility ever built at a cost of two billion dollars which according to Mr. Duff, is useless and a betrayal.

What follows is an approximate transcript of the interview.

Press TV: According to www.wired.com , which wrote of the facility in a recent feature story, the facility is, "the most covert and potentially the most intrusive intelligence agency ever". It will basically monitor everything: phone calls, text messages, e-mails, parking tickets, public records, employment, taxes, power usage, utility records, bank account numbers and anything else.

Can you break it down for us on what's happening and why does the US government need this very advanced espionage facility?

Duff: The interesting part of this of course that wired.com points out in their article is that this is entirely a secret facility.

At a time when we're laying off police officers; when we're closing schools; cutting the pay of nurses and teachers, we have two billion dollars to talk to our home appliances and learn how much butter people are eating.

During the Bush administration he tried to recruit 300,000 postmen, appliance repairmen and delivery boys to look in people's windows. This country has entered a period of insanity; of total mistrust of its own population.

The other issue of course I have is that with all of this equipment - all of this ability to scan all of the information in the world - it's all going to come down to one paragraph a day that will land on the president's desk that he'll pick up for a second and simply throw away. There is no client for this information

Press TV: With the signing of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act, many progressive voices in the US have been warning that America is becoming a police state.

Now, does constructing this colossal espionage facility confirm that this is actually happening in your view?

In America, TV watches you: CIA to spy on people through household items

Russia Today

With a growing number of ‘smart gadgets,’ spying on homes may start to become much easier. In fact, CIA Chief David Petraeus admitted that Americans were effectively bugging themselves and making it easy for spy agencies to peek in on their lives.

Speaking at a summit for In-Q-Tel, the CIA’s venture capital firm, Petraeus noted that new devices that link ‘dumb’ home appliances such as refrigerators, ovens and lighting systems to the Internet could “change our notion of secrecy.”

“‘Transformational’ is an overused word, but I do believe it properly applies to these technologies, particularly to their effect on clandestine tradecraft,” Petraeus noted.

“Items of interest will be located, identified, monitored, and remotely controlled through technologies such as radio-frequency identification, sensor networks, tiny embedded servers, and energy harvesters — all connected to the next-generation Internet using abundant, low-cost, and high-power computing,” Petraeus explained. “The latter now going to cloud computing, in many areas greater and greater supercomputing, and, ultimately, heading to quantum computing.”

In the meantime, the biggest microchip company in the world, ARM, presented new processors that can be implanted into nearly any household appliance and connect it to the Internet so that the appliance could be remotely controlled in tandem with other applications. The company described the concept as the “Internet of things.”

And the National Security Agency is already building a gigantic supercomputer to process this gigantic amount of information. It’s a $2 billion Utah-based facility that can process yottabytes (a quadrillion gigabytes) of data, according to the Gizmondo technology blog. It will be the centerpiece for the Global Information Grid and is set to go live in September 2013.

These latest announcements paint a somewhat Orwellian picture of the future, with TV’s spying on their viewers and beds recording the dreams of those sleeping in them. Perhaps this data would then be sent to the Utah supercomputer, which would assess the person’s pros and cons. And what if the computer uses statistics to decipher the likelihood that that person will commit a crime? A score could land you in jail – for a crime that had not yet happened.

But even now we see how people are being arrested for posting online or clicking the wrong button in the privacy of their own home. A British teenager is set to appear in court on charges of racially aggravated assault after posting comments about six British soldiers killed in Afghanistan.

Non-profit group linked to Homeland Security promotes absurd fear of non-existent threat of terrorism

EndTheLie
Madison Ruppert

A so-called “Community Awareness Program” (CAP) has been launched by the Counterterrorism Education Learning Lab (the CELL), a non-profit group directly linked to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The CELL is the same group behind the absurdist fear mongering video entitled “Recognizing the 8 Signs of Terrorism” which is nothing more than a clear attempt to strike illogical fear into the hearts of Americans.

Now this government-backed organization seeks to instill a pervasive paranoia in everyone in the United States through the CAP program, regardless of the fact that the threat of terrorism is minimal to wholly negligible.

The CELL, quite an interesting choice of a name for a supposedly counterterrorist organization, I might add, is also behind the $6 million Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere: Understanding the Threat of Terrorism exhibit at their “nonpartisan institute” in Colorado.

One critic aptly characterized the exhibit as, “an expensive, museum-size example of America’s paranoia” while pointing out, “Graphic images of a bomb ripping apart downtown Denver seem to fall into the category of fear-mongering.”

This paranoid mindset is exemplified by one of the individuals running the program, a New York native that “refuses to ride on the subway and spends as little time as possible in high-rise buildings.”
Interesting, seeing as no successful terrorist attack since 9/11 has hit a high-rise or a subway. This is the kind of widespread nonsensical thinking that is rampant among the “counterterrorism” and Homeland Security establishment.

It makes even less sense when one considers the fact that skyscraper safety has been improved over the decade since the September 11th, 2001 attacks and last year an alleged terror plot targeting the Washington D.C. subway was “thwarted.”

Of course, like most alleged terrorist plots in the United States, the man charged with plotting the attack was dealing with FBI agents who pretended to be al Qaeda operatives in order to lure him in to planning the attack.

However, this incident, and all the other incidents of government manufactured terrorism somehow seem to make people behind groups like the CELL and others even more paranoid.

This was evidenced by the statement made by U.S. Assistant Attorney-General for National Security, David Kris, who said in response to the alleged D.C. plot last year, “Today’s case underscores the need for continued vigilance against terrorist threats”.

In this case the government-sponsored fear mongering is even more absurd, given the fact that they are now promoting that anyone and everyone could very well be a terrorist.

An administrative assistant in the safety, security and facilities department of the Regional Transportation District Diana Woodson told the Denver Post, “It’s not going to be the person you think it’s going to be. He’s your best neighbor, your best pal. It doesn’t always look like the bad guy; it can be someone unassuming.”

Yes that’s right, your 75-year-old portly retiree neighbor could very well be a terrorist planning to kill you and your family! Are you afraid yet?

The Denver Post hilariously writes, “the idea is to make Joe and Jill Public aware that they may be just as important as any super-secret agency when it comes to preventing another attack on the U.S.”

In reality the “If You See Something, Say Something” program is an attempt to twist every American into a paranoid volunteer citizen spy and the CELL’s video was nothing more than an exercise in fear mongering produced with a DHS grant totaling over $30,000 and in alliance with the local fusion center, the Colorado Information Analysis Center (CIAC).

The CIAC is one of 72 fusion centers across the United States which analyze and share information between federal and local law enforcement agencies, or more accurately, conduct domestic spying operations on American citizens.
